▸ THE SERVER

A server worth waiting for, or none at all.

L2Reverie will run on Vortrium: an authoritative server written from scratch for the unmodified retail client, protocol revisions 140 and 152, carrying High Five content. No L2J, no forked core, nothing inherited but the protocol and the ground.

It is not open. A client signs in, walks on real collision, talks, and carries things, and that is genuinely all: combat, skills, non player characters and quests are not written yet. Opening now would mean opening a world with nothing to do in it.

The engineering is public and so is the roadmap. You can watch it get closer instead of being told it is nearly ready.

▸ WHAT IS ALREADY DECIDED

written into the licence, not into a banner

Nothing sold changes combat

The licence that lets this server run forbids selling anything that alters combat balance. It is a term with a revocation attached, not a promise in a forum post.

The core is verifiable

The server reports the build it is running, and a modified core cannot carry the verified badge. What you connect to is what the repository says it is.

The ground is converted, never drawn

Collision comes from one converted source and no method anywhere invents it. No cell is walkable on one side and blocked on the other.

An exploit is a release, not a rumour

The core is fuzzed and its rules are tests. A fix ships to every licensed server the day it exists, and sitting on one ends a licence.

Where the work is

The figure is the core's roadmap, weighted by phase, and it moves when the work does. It is not a countdown.
